Fayetteville Express Pipeline - An Overview
Fayetteville Express Pipeline (FEP) is an approximately 185-mile natural gas pipeline system designed to help meet future U.S. energy needs, contribute to energy independence and stability, and stimulate economic growth.

The pipeline will originate in Conway County, Arkansas, continue eastward through White County, Arkansas, and terminate at an interconnect with Trunkline Gas Company in Panola County, Mississippi (see project map). FEP will parallel existing pipeline or electric transmission right-of-ways where possible to minimize impact to the environment, communities and landowners.

Fayetteville Express is owned by Fayetteville Express Pipeline LLC, a joint venture between Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, L.P. and Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. Kinder Morgan Energy Partners and Energy Transfer Partners have extensive experience designing, building, owning and safely operating natural gas pipelines and facilities.

FEP is committed to building and operating the pipeline in a safe and environmentally sensitive manner, working closely with the landowners and communities along its route.

Critical To The Nation's Energy Infrastructure and Local Economies
FEP will benefit communities along the pipeline route over both the long and short term.

  • Local communities may benefit from the increased property taxes that FEP will pay for the pipeline and compressor stations
  • States will receive revenue from sales and use taxes paid during FEP construction
  • FEP will deliver clean-burning natural gas supplies from the Fayetteville Shale in Arkansas to communities along the route
  • FEP will likely bring new employment opportunities for local residents during both the construction and operation of the pipeline
  • Local economic development efforts could be enhanced by having the opportunity to access a reliable source of natural gas
  • Provide an alternate route for natural gas when hurricanes and tropical storms disrupt offshore and coastal supplies
